Power of prayer (2/4)

  • Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
  • He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
  • Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  • Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
  • Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
  • All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
  • As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him;
    He is excellent in power,
    In judgment and abundant justice;
    He does not oppress.
  • This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
    ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
    Says the Lord of hosts.
  • Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
  • As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.
  • For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    And His ears are open to their prayers;
    But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
  • But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
  • But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
  • And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
  • For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
  • Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
  • For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
  • Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
  • Both riches and honor come from You,
    And You reign over all.
    In Your hand is power and might;
    In Your hand it is to make great
    And to give strength to all.
  • And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
  • But I will sing of Your power;
    Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
    For You have been my defense
    And refuge in the day of my trouble.
  • Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
  • Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
    The power and the glory,
    The victory and the majesty;
    For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
    Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
    And You are exalted as head over all.
  • Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
