- But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

- Who is this King of glory?
Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah. - For the customs of the peoples are vanity;

the work of the hands of the workman with the ax.
They deck it with silver and with gold.
They fasten it with nails and with hammers,
so that it can’t move.
They are like a palm tree, of turned work,
and don’t speak.
They must be carried,
because they can’t move.
Don’t be afraid of them;
for they can’t do evil,
neither is it in them to do good. - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
- The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth. - For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
