Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! Proverbs 15:23	A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! speaking joy
I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. Proverbs 4:11	I have instructed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. wisdom learning righteousness

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 1 Peter 3:14	But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. righteousness suffering fear
Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Proverbs 4:25	Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. honesty reliability righteousness
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! James 3:10	From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. sin speaking worship
Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:6	Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time. humility reward
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8	He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? law righteousness humility
“All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” Joshua 24:23	Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel. idols heart purification
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9	Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. righteousness reward patience
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:15	See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people. blameless righteousness evil
What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’ Isaiah 45:9	Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker— A piece of pottery among the other earthenware pottery pieces! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’? creation humility understanding
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law. Galatians 2:15-16	We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. faith law righteousness
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Romans 10:10	For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. faith speaking salvation
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. Romans 3:21-22	But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction. faith law righteousness
Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. Psalm 82:3	Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. orphans neighbor righteousness
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24	And He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed. sin righteousness healing
Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Psalm 25:4	Make me know Your ways, Lord; Teach me Your paths. life learning
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil. sin purification evil
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Galatians 6:1	Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. sin temptation desires
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). Tainted wealth has no lasting value, but right living can save your life. Proverbs 10:2	Ill-gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death. honesty money righteousness
Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. Habakkuk 2:4	Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith. righteousness life reliability
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10	Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. sin salvation kingdom
Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death. Proverbs 11:4	Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death. money righteousness materialism

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
