- They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

How good is a word at the right time! - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- I have taught you in the way of wisdom.
I have led you in straight paths. - You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.
- Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
- Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.
Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it.
