The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.The vine withers, the fig tree droops. Pomegranate, palm, and apple— all the trees of the field are dried up; surely, joy withers away among the people.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray.
Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone!
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands and call on your name.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.Look at the proud! Their spirit is not right in them, but the righteous live by their faith.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.
And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.
