| Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart; who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors. | He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. | Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. | The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
| So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? | And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.” | And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. | The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. | There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. |
| He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” | Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. |

| How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. | He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. | He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. |
| I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution.
