| For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. | For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. |
| Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. | For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. |

| A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. | There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. |
| Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. | You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. |
| Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. | So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. |
