| And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. | For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. | For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, busy with this very thing. |

| But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. | But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. |
| Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. | Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray. |
| For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. | Because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. |
