| But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” | But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. |

| Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. | There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. |
| Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. | And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. |

| Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. | The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. |

| When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. | In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. |
