| In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. | For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. |

| And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. | And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. |
| My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother. | My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. |
| The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. | The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. |
| Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. | Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. |
