Unfailing love (2/4)

“For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.“For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
Let all that you do be done with love. And do everything with love.
Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.
But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble. But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.
The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.“Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.
Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
