The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
