Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.Even fools who keep silent are considered wise; when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.For in much wisdom is much vexation, and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding.

A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.A wise child makes a glad father, but a foolish child is a mother's grief.

A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.A fool despises a parent's instruction, but the one who heeds admonition is prudent.
