NIV KJV ESV NKJV
X
ESV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
