- Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
- To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
- “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
