Chinese (traditional)The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! As goods increase,
so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners
except to feast their eyes on them? When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes? When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? When riches increase,
so do those who are eager to accumulate them,
and those who have accumulated them must remain content
simply to feast their eyes on them. Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline;
whoever learns from correction is wise. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.Next verse!With image
