Bible Verses about 'Help'
- I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth! - Our help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble. - Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name. - For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ - So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
- If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
- Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - But in my distress I cried out to the Lord;
yes, I prayed to my God for help.
He heard me from his sanctuary;
my cry to him reached his ears. - For I assisted the poor in their need
and the orphans who required help.
I helped those without hope, and they blessed me.
And I caused the widows’ hearts to sing for joy. - A friend is always loyal,
and a brother is born to help in time of need. - Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God! - The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right;
his ears are open to their cries for help. - You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet
to keep them from slipping. - For I cried out to him for help,
praising him as I spoke. - Hear my prayer, O Lord!
Listen to my cries for help!
Don’t ignore my tears.
For I am your guest—
a traveler passing through,
as my ancestors were before me. - For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
- But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.
- We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

but right living can save you from death. - Do not withhold good from those who deserve it
when it’s in your power to help them. - O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. - But God is my helper.

I call for your help.

and my God will certainly hear me. - Learn to do good.

Second, give me neither poverty nor riches!

for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. - The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
