Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. - Our help is in Yahweh’s name,

a very present help in trouble. - Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name.

the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.

and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit. - In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep,
for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety. - I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever.
- Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- I cried to him with my mouth.
He was extolled with my tongue. - Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
- For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.

Defend the fatherless.
Plead for the widow. - Remove far from me falsehood and lies.
Give me neither poverty nor riches.
Feed me with the food that is needful for me. - You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes?
- Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.
- We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.

I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name. - Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.
- For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established; that is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
- Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.
