Bible Verses about 'Help'
- I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. - For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
- Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way. - In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears. - Because I rescued the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to assist them.
The one who was dying blessed me;
I made the widow’s heart sing. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
- For I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.
- The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
- The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
- I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity. - Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor.
Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death.For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.Next verse!With image
