- I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name's sake! - Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. - For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
- When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. - To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.

and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
You gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. - A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
hold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
- But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
- I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. - Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
- For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
