Bible Verses about 'Help'

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.God is our refuge and our strength, a well-proved help in times of trouble.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake!Help us, O God, our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and wipe away our sins for your name’s sake.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”For I, the Lord, am your God and I grasp your right hand. It is I who say to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to help him. The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.Because I delivered the poor who appealed for help and the orphan who had no one to protect him. The blessing of the wretched was given to me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance. For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God.
You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. You have given me the shield of your salvation; your right hand sustains me, and your goodness makes me great. You broadened the path beneath me so that my feet have never stumbled.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.A true friend is one at all times, and a brother is born to render help in time of need.
Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. In peace I lie down and sleep, for only with your help, O Lord, can I rest secure.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you, a guest, like all my fathers.Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue.
Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render.

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
