Bible Verses about 'Help'

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.God is our refuge and our strength, a well-proved help in times of trouble.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.Help us, O God, our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and wipe away our sins for your name’s sake.
For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. For I, the Lord, am your God and I grasp your right hand. It is I who say to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.Because I delivered the poor who appealed for help and the orphan who had no one to protect him. The blessing of the wretched was given to me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. You have given me the shield of your salvation; your right hand sustains me, and your goodness makes me great. You broadened the path beneath me so that my feet have never stumbled.
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.A true friend is one at all times, and a brother is born to render help in time of need.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. In peace I lie down and sleep, for only with your help, O Lord, can I rest secure.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever.
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue.
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
