- But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding;
His praise endures forever. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor?
- I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have revived me. - I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches. - Therefore, whoever nullifies one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
- You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you.
- Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
- We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
- Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.
- I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
- The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- So you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am the Lord.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.
- Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to dishonest gain. - For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another.
- The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments is everlasting. - I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and follow them. Sanctify My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you. - The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
- The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
But ruin to the workers of injustice. - And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - Now the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the Law and the commandments which I have written for their instruction.”
