Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.
And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
This is what I told them: ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!’But this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
