- Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
- Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
- But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
- God detests the prayers
of a person who ignores the law. - I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
- I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart. - This is what I told them: ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!’
- And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.
- He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
