You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.

So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.’Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.’
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.
I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.

So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
