Bible Verses about '1 Corinthians 7:3'

The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.A husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise a wife should fulfill her conjugal obligations to her husband. For a wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise, a husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. However, to avoid the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by mutual consent for a specified time so as to devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan may not tempt you by taking advantage of your lack of self-control.
So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.”Now in regard to the eating of meat sacrificed to idols, we know that idols are nothing in the world and that there is only one God.
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. For us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.
No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.Rather, I discipline my body and bring it under control, for fear that after preaching to others I myself may be disqualified.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.No trial has confronted you except what a person can stand. God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tried beyond your strength. But together with the trial he will also provide a way out and the strength to bear it.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive.
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. The body is one, although it has many parts; and all the parts, though many, form one body. So it is with Christ.
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jews as well as Greeks, slaves as well as free men, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. If I give away everything to feed the poor and hand over my body to be burned, but do not have love, I achieve nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love is patient; love is charitable. Love is not envious; it does not have an inflated opinion of itself; it is not filled with its own importance. Love is never rude; it does not seek its own advantage. It is not prone to anger; neither does it brood over setbacks.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. For I handed on to you as of primary importance what I received: that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried and that he was raised to life on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.For since death came into the world through a man, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
