Bible Verses about 'Accept'

Hear, my child, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many.Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Take words with you and return to the Lord; say to him, “Take away all guilt; accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips.”Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
The wise of heart will heed commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls.Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves the one he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This is what I have seen to be good: it is fitting to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of the life God gives us; for this is our lot.Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
