Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am first, and will be with the last.
