Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. The Lord, your God, brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. I will praise you in sincerity of heart as I ponder your righteous judgments.I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit.A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!

It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome.It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
An ignorant man causes strife by his insolence, but wisdom is found with those who take advice.By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.
Nor should you present any part of your body as an instrument for wickedness leading to sin. Rather, present yourselves to God as having been raised from death to life and the parts of your body to God as instruments for righteousness.Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety, but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out.Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.
After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
An honorable name is more to be desired than great riches, and high esteem is preferable to silver and gold.A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.
A truthful witness does not lie, but a false witness lies incessantly.A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies.
And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works.And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Until a spirit from on high is poured out upon us, and the wilderness becomes an orchard and the fruitful field becomes a forest.Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.
Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Yet even so, because of your great compassion, you did not completely destroy them, nor did you forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
Examine me, O God, and know my heart; test me and understand my thoughts. See if I follow an evil way, and guide me on the way to eternity.Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
He gives a home to those who are forsaken and leads out prisoners amid chants of exultation, while rebels are forced to live in an arid land.God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
The wealth of a rich man is his stronghold; he regards it as a high wall that cannot be scaled.A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination.
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but cherish my commandments in your heart, for they will bring you length of days, more years of life, and an abundance of prosperity.My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
