A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season. | A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! |

Rather, revere Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect. | But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect. |
It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome. | Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. |
