  • For you are my rock and my fortress,
    therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
  • Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.
  • God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
  • You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
  • And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
  • Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
    equity and every good path.
  • Open your mouth, judge righteously,
    and serve justice to the poor and needy.
  • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
  • God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
  • Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
  • He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
  • They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.

    and delivers them from their graves.
  • Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
  • One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.
  • Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
  • For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.
  • A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
    but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
  • But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
  • You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.
  • For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
