  • Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
    Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
  • Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
  • Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
  • Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
    equity and every good path.
  • Open your mouth, judge righteously,
    and serve justice to the poor and needy.
  • For you are my rock and my fortress,
    therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.

  • They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
  • They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
  • For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.
  • Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.
    He brings low, he also lifts up.
  • A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
    but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
  • You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
