Another (3/3)

Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for those who are immoral and adulterers will have to face God’s judgment.
The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.Lying lips conceal hatred, and anyone who slanders another is a fool.
And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. And where a single man can be overcome, two together will be able to resist. A cord with three strands is not easily broken.
If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever. However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago.
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be poured out for you.”
Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. What god can compare with you, the God who takes away guilt and forgives the transgressions of the remnant of your people? You will not allow your anger to fester forever, for your delight is in bestowing mercy.
I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.Brethren, I exhort you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to be in full agreement with one another and not permit any divisions to arise among you. Be perfectly united in mind and purpose.
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but humbly regard others as better than yourselves.
Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren.
Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
