| Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts. | Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. |
| Rather, revere Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect. | But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. |

| Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law. | Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. |
| And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. | But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. |

| Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. | Therefore, do not allow anyone to pass judgment on you in regard to what you eat or drink, or about the observance of Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come. | Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life, but anyone who rejects correction goes astray. | He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
| Can someone hide in a secret place so that I cannot see him? Do I not fill heaven and earth? | Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. |
| Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone. | See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. |
| Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety, but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out. | He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. |
| Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. | Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. |

Thus, God proved his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. | For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. |
| I am the living bread that came down from heaven. | While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. | Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. |
| To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne. | To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. |
