| Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. | Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. |
| This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ | Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ |

| But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. | Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. |

| But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. | You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. | You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. |
| Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave. | Not so with you. | You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. | Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless. | But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. | No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. |
| He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed. | Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. |
| By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. | This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. |
| Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. | Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. |
| Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. | Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. |
