- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - There is none holy like the Lord:
for there is none besides you;
there is no rock like our God. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. - But I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. - Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
- Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
- For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
