| And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. | All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. |
| Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. | Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. |

| And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. | Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. |
