He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; he who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man. | One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend. |
Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong! | Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. |

That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar. | What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. |
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own. | But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You. |
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have. | For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. |
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. | For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. |
But say the things which fit sound doctrine. | But as for you, proclaim the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. |
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all. | See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people. |
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith. | For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. |
He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it. | Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will do it. |
We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds. | We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater. |
Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? | The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me? |
As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. | Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. |
Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. | Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. |
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.” | But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. |
Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one. | Now a mediator is not for one party only; but God is only one. |
Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” | Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” |
But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die. | But if the wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die. |
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. | Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? | For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? |
But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. | But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. |
What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. | Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. |
There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling. | There is one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling. |
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice. | To do righteousness and justice Is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice. |
