When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. | When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. |
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. | And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. |

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” | But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. |
And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. | And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. |
For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. | Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. |
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. | For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. |
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. |
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. |
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” | Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. |
And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.” | And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. |
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” | And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. |
But the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.” | And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. |
As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. | But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. |
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. | So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. |
This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here. | Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. |
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” | But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. |

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. | But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. |
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. | Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. |
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. | For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. |

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. | For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. |
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. | But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. |

And he healed every kind of disease and illness. | And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. |
