Bible Verses about 'Certainly'

  • Why do you set your eyes on that which is not?
For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky.
  • Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
  • Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”
  • You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
  • Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.”
  • Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.
  • Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.
  • For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
  • Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
  • For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.
  • For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
  • Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
  • Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
  • For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
  • Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
  • He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
  • What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
  • Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News, but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.”
  • What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
  • But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
    My God will hear me.
  • You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
  • What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
  • For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
