because I have sought your commands. - If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
- Never will I forget your commands,
for through them you have given me life. - The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord.
- God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
