- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- He who covers a transgression seeks love,
But he who repeats a matter separates friends. - No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.Next verse! With image
