- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
- One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. - No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - Fools show their anger at once,
but the prudent ignore an insult. - No one who conceals transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.Next verse! With image
