| I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. | I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. |
| When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it. | When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. |

You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.” |
