| Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. | Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap. |
| Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. | But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves. |

| Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? | As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. | Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. |
