Do (3/4)

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.Do not be afraid or dismayed, the Lord will go before you; he will not fail or forsake you.
So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”Then he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive.
If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him.
But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! They cannot speak, and they need to be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. For the carved images of the nations are powerless; they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest, fashioned with a knife by craftsmen and embellished with silver and gold. Then they are fastened with hammers and nails to prevent them from toppling. Like scarecrows in a cucumber field they are unable to speak, and they must be carried from place to place since they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they can do no harm, nor do they have any power to do good.
And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, and it is by him that you have been called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything.
Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it.
Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.Bless those who persecute you; bless them and do not curse them.
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.Go, and assemble all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same thing. After that, I will go to the king—against the law. And if I perish, I perish!
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
