Bible Verses about 'Do'
- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
- Anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it commits a sin.
- Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- Amen, amen, I say to you,
the one who believes in me
will also do the works that I do,
and indeed will do even greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father. - Shun evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
- With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid.
What can mortals do to me? - If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
- Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it. - To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets.
- Put your trust in the Lord and do good,
that you may dwell in the land and be secure. - Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?
- To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words.
- You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
- Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I place my trust and know no fear;
what can people do to me? - Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged.
- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your gracious Spirit lead me
along a level path. - Therefore, we can say with confidence:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this.
- How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.
- But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
- So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- And learn to do good.
Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed;
listen to the plea of the orphan
and defend the widow. - Bless those who persecute you; bless them and do not curse them.
- Therefore, whenever you give alms, do not trumpet your generosity, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets in order to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have already received their reward.
- Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards.
- Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
and cease even to think about it. - The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil,
to erase all memory of them from the earth. - Arise, O Lord! Lift up your hand, O God!
Do not forget the afflicted. - Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
- Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit.
Apart from me you can do nothing. - Do not swerve either to the right or to the left;
keep your foot far from evil. - You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble.
- Blessed is the man whom God reproves.
Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming.
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
- Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
because we obey his commandments
and do whatever is pleasing to him. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer.
However, the face of the Lord
is set against those who do evil. - Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
