Therefore you shall keep my commandments, and do them. I am Yahweh.So you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am the Lord.
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it.
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.
Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the Lord is against evildoers.
He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of mankind among them are fully given to do evil.
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”He said to them, “But who do you yourselves say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this.
Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil.
But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you.
For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh.For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh.
You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.Do not judge, so that you will not be judged.
So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth.
Excellent speech isn’t fitting for a fool, much less do lying lips fit a prince.Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool, Much less are lying lips to a prince.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.”

But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
