Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” | Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. |
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. | Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. |

My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. | My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother. |
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. | But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. |
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. | Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. |
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! | Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? |
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. | Judge not, that ye be not judged. |
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. | Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. |
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. | Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. |
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. | Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. |
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. | For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. |
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. | Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. |
However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. | Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. |
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. | Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. |
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. | Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. |
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me. | Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. |
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame. | Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. |
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. | My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. |
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” | And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. |
So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. | Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” | But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. |
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. | Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. |
For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. | For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. |
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. | Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. |
