- Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

- Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
- “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
- Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
- For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
- Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
- Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
- Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. - Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness. - I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
