For it is not wise to ask such questions. - Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
- “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
- For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
- I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands. - And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. - You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
- No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
- So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
